my OC Mishka is supposed to be a hippocampus-type of mermaid, but I couldn’t resist drawing her as just a mermaid!
so this is recent watercolor work, I’ve really been having alot of trouble with watercolors but after attending Valerie Chua’s watercolor workshop, I finally got a bit of confidence boost in putting down bolder colors.

for the “Tumblr Guardians” meme! she’s the Guardian of Fortune
-she’s a mix of maneki-neko (the waving cat) and a crazy cat lady.
-similar to Tooth, I’d imagine her having all the maneki-neko as her little pets coming alive when she calls them using a big bell.
-her cane can move like an actual paw. which she can use to reaching or punching(??)
-she can tell which cat is which by the sound of their bells.
